Bojana N Tour Visitor

"There’s something special about Governor’s Walk! What stood out the most was the kindness of the staff and the care to detail they took with every aspect of their residents experience. There are event fresh-cut flowers placed on every dining room table for the guests to enjoy. The residents all exude happiness and even get involved with the tour process, wanting to share with potential residents how great of an environment Governor’s Walk is! I think part of the Governor’s Walk charm also has to do with the richness of the history of this home, which is located in a heritage neighborhood and was originally a Franciscan monastery – the chapel was actually maintained and still has the beautiful (and original) stained glass. No two rooms at this community are exactly the same, there are fireplaces throughout the entire home and 12 foot ceilings in many of the suites. I wasn’t able to stay for dinner as I was pressed for time but the community administrator, Tara, wanted to be sure I didn’t go hungry so she had the chef prepare a delicious egg salad sandwich for me to take away. Thank you Tara! In summary, there’s a sign above the activity room that reads, “Friends Gather Here” and I think that really spoke to the feeling you get at this home – it’s full of people who care about each other and their community."
